Since 2011, the "HiRo Run," the half marathon from Hilpoltstein along the Main-Danube Canal to Rothsee and back, has been held. The course of the half marathon is officially measured and serves as the venue for the Middle Franconian Championships in the half marathon. Participation requires a start pass from the BLV, the number of which must be provided at registration.
